Stepping Stones Comes to You: Explore the Home of A.A.’s & Al-Anon’s Cofounders

Mily T. is an "Ambassador" to Stepping Stones, the home of Bill and Lois Wilson from 1941 until their passing (1971 & 1988). This National Historic Landmark and archive in Katonah, New York, preserves 110,000 original artifacts. Mily T presents both archival and modern material in her "visual tour" through the home and Wits End studio where Bill wrote the book "Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions".

This film (not My Name is Bill W starring James Woods) tells an unvarnished story of Bill and his descent into alcoholism, leading to the birth of A.A. This uncut version runs 116 minutes and includes views of noted historians and A.A. members. It received SAMHSA’s 2012 VOICE award for Best Documentary.


Live Q & A with Creators of "Bill W." Documentary

This session offers a unique opportunity to ask questions and converse directly with the film’s producers Kevin Hanlon and Dan Carracino. This documentary—their first project together—took 8+ years to complete. Kevin and Dan will attend the live Q&A from New York and Los Angeles via Zoom.




Story of Florence R, "A Feminine Victory"
Saturday, 4:15–5:15 PM, Seminar Room

Mily T. of San Francisco will present the inspiring story of Florence R who wrote the only woman’s story in the 1st edition of Alcoholics Anonymous. Mily chronicles Florence’s life: from childhood in Massachusetts and schooling in Boston to her getting sober and life thereafter.
