ABOUT MSC
In 1963, Massachusetts' Area 30 (eastern MA) and Area 31 (western MA) decided to host a state-wide convention to encourage unity, service, and recovery for the AA fellowship of Massachusetts
A joint committee was formed to select a site, develop a program and, with Al-Anon participation, host the first Mass State Convention (MSC). The convention is hosted roughly the same way today. This years’ 60th convention is November 8-10 at the Best Western Royal Plaza Hotel in Marlboro. Please join us!
Convention Planning Committee
Each year, Areas 30 and 31 form a joint convention planning committee to:
Reserve a host site for the convention.
Develop a 3-day program & schedule.
Publish information about the convention.
Recruit convention greeters & helpers.
Conduct outreach to local AA’s & Al-Anon.
Engage other AA groups and committees.
Collaborate on issues, ideas and finances.
Plan, prepare for, and host the convention.
To learn more, attend a planning committee meeting ... or just volunteer to help out!
