ABOUT THE CONVENTION

In 1963, Massachusetts' Area 30 (eastern MA) and Area 31 (western MA) decided to host a state-wide convention to foster unity, service, and recovery throughout Massachusetts.

A joint committee was formed to select a site, develop a program and hold the first MA State Convention (MSC), with Al-Anon participation. Today, the convention is hosted in roughly the same way. The 2025 convention is scheduled for November 14-16 at the Best Western Royal Plaza Hotel in Marlborough. Please join us!

  • Recruit convention greeters & helpers.
  • Conduct outreach to AA groups & Al-Anon.
  • Engage other AA groups and committees.
  • Collaborate on issues, ideas and finances.
  • Plan, prepare for, and host the convention.

  • To learn more, a meeting is held January, March, May, July, September, and October, as noted on the home page.
