The Mass State Convention (MSC) was conceived ~1963 when Area 30 (eastern MA) and Area 31 (western MA) decided to host an annual state-wide convention to foster unity, recovery and service across Massachusetts. The two areas, with Al-Anon participation, developed a 3-day convention program.

Today, the MSC is hosted roughly the same way. This years’ 60th convention is November 8-10 at the Best Western Royal Plaza Hotel in Marlboro. Please join us!

Convention Planning Committee

When Areas 30 and 31 decided to host the first convention, a joint committee was formed. Members of the planning committee:

  • Conduct outreach to AA & Al-Anon.
  • Publish information about the convention.
  • Engage other AA groups and committees.
  • Collaborate on issues, ideas and plans.

  • To learn more, attend a planning meeting listed on the home page (Zoom or in-person).
